This was the first UKTA event that the Shaftesbury TKD had hosted and we hope to host many more.
The quality of both Mr Chan's and Mr Rose's teaching was exceptional.
The day consisted of a warm up before flowing into technical aspects that the senior grades would need to cover in their classes, which aided their continuos personal development, as this is sometimes lost when we teach others.
After a short recess, for a buffet style lunch, which was well received, our thanks to Mrs Bennett for providing this.
After lunch suitably refreshed, we observed how the Kup belts received their instruction from Mr Rose and Mr Chan.
We had very good feedback from all of the students who attended from our club and from Mrs Bennetts Club.
At the cumulation of the seminar, we then observed a few members of Mrs Bennett's club undertake a garding.
This was interseting to us as we have recently joined UKTA and wished to see the nuances and syllabus content being implemented at a grading. We could see the students agitation but once they came before Mr Chan and Mr Rose they delivered their best, in true Taekwon - Do style. Mr Rose and Mr CHan were very patient and professional, especially if we had any questions, of which we had a few, mainly around some acronyms used on the card.
We hope to provide a grading for our club members soon.
Finally, our thanks to Mr Rose and Mr Chan whom we hope to work with again very soon.
Mrs Bennett for all her help in both the transition to UKTA that she gave to our club and the buffet luncheon.
Also, our thanks to all at Shaftesbury Youth Centre who aid us in our endevavours.
But above all to two people; Mr Carr & Mr Kelly...our deepest thanks for you ongoing help.
